Medical Gas Services

In addition to our training courses, HAC Medical Gas Training & Services provides a comprehensive range of services to all NHS and Private Healthcare Sites. From the provision of Authorising Engineer and Authorised Persons, to compliance reporting, operational policy development and design production, our highly experienced team is able to offer bespoke services which combine HTM 02-01 requirements with your own specific needs.

Authorising Engineer Services

Our AE services are available to all NHS and Private Healthcare Sites. This includes full site surveys, audits and non-compliance reports, assessment of Authorised Persons prior to appointment, monitoring the implementation of MGPS operational policies, review of MGPS documentation and procedures, and attendance at medical gas committee meetings.

Authorised Person Services

We offer comprehensive AP services to all NHS and Private Healthcare Sites. These services include the provision of an AP to cover any works on all medical gas systems at all levels of hazard, issuing of Permit-to-Work for installation, PPM and remedial works and remote AP services for low hazard Permit-to-Work on smaller premises. We also have the ability to offer full project supervision and commissioning, along with impromptu and planned stand-in AP services to help cover for illness, unexpected absence or staff shortages. Mini, biennial system audits for smaller healthcare sites are also available.

  • Compliance Reports and Risk Assessments

    Our services also include the production of full and/or partial compliance reports for medical gas systems to HTM 02-01 standards, including the subsequent production of risk assessments for all non-compliances.

  • Operational Policy

    We are able to assist in the development and implementation of medical gas operational policy and procedures.

  • Design Specifications

    Our in-house design team are able to review existing or produce detailed design specifications to your requirements.

  • As-Fitted Drawings

    Full surveys of medical gas systems and the production of as-fitted drawings are available for both new and existing installations. This includes the verification of drawings, creation of schematics and flow and pressure drop calculations.
